1. Introduction

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern the use of our video creation platform and related services (“Services”). When you start using Rehear, you agree to follow these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the services. The goal is to provide a safe, reliable, and easy-to-use platform for creating, sharing, and distributing videos for both personal and commercial purposes. These Terms apply to all users, whether you access our Services for free or through a paid subscription, and they explain your rights, responsibilities, and limitations when using our platform.

We may change these Terms from time to time. When we make important changes we will try to tell you in advance (for example through a notice inside the app, by email, or on our website). If you keep using the Service after the new version is active, that means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree with the changes, the only thing you can do is stop using the Service completely.

2. Who Can Use the Service

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country to use online services without parental permission) to use Rehear. If you are under 18 or the age of majority in your country, you must have permission from your parent or legal guardian to use the Service, and they must agree to these Terms on your behalf. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover that someone under 13 has created an account or used the Service, we will delete that account and all related data as quickly as possible. You agree that all information you give us (email, name, payment details, etc.) is true, accurate, and up to date. Please note that you are not allowed to create accounts using fake names, someone else’s identity, or automated tools/bots.

3. User Content

You retain full ownership of all content you create using our Services, including videos, images, audio, text, and other media. You are free to use, share, distribute, or monetize your content however you choose, including for commercial purposes, social media, and other projects. When you use the platform, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and analyze your content strictly for the purpose of providing and improving our Services. We do not use your content for marketing or share it with third parties unless you explicitly allow it. Your content remains private and accessible only to you and those you choose to share it with, except when required by law. This arrangement makes it certain that you maintain full creative control while allowing us to operate and enhance our platform effectively.

4. Your Account and Security

When you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your password safe and private. Do not share your account or login details with anyone else. You must tell us immediately if you think someone else has accessed your account without permission. We are not responsible for losses that happen because you shared your password or because someone used your account after you failed to protect it properly. We can suspend or delete your account at any time if we believe you have broken these Terms, used the Service in a harmful way, or if we are required to do so by law.

5. Prohibited use and conduct

You can upload videos, audio files, and other content to the Service only if:
  • You own the content
  • You have all necessary rights and permissions to use it
  • The content does not break any law
  • The content does not violate anyone else’s rights (copyright, privacy, trademark, etc.)
You are not allowed to upload or process:
  • Content that is illegal in any country
  • Pornography or sexually explicit material
  • Content that promotes violence, hate, discrimination, terrorism, or harassment
  • Private or confidential recordings of other people without their clear permission
  • Copyrighted material you do not have the right to use (movies, TV shows, music videos, paid courses you did not buy, etc.)
  • Malware, viruses, or any code that harms devices or networks
We do not actively monitor everything you upload. However, we may review, remove, or block any content at any time if we believe it violates these rules or the law.

6. Your Rights to Use the Service

We give you a limited, personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the Service for your own personal or internal business purposes only (depending on your subscription plan).
You are not allowed to:
  • Copy, modify, reverse-engineer, decompile, or try to discover the source code of the app
  • Rent, lease, sell, resell, sublicense, or give access to the Service to other people
  • Use the Service to create a competing product or service
  • Scrape, crawl, or automatically collect data from the Service
  • Use bots, scripts, or automation to use the Service in a way that puts heavy load on our servers
  • Remove any copyright, trademark, or legal notices from the app or outputs

7. Ownership

We own the Rehear app, the design, the code, the name, the logo, and all other parts of the Service (except the content you upload). You get full ownership of the videos, audio, text, and other content you upload. However, when you use the service you give us a limited license to:
  • Store your files temporarily on our servers
  • Process your files to create audio, transcripts, edits, playlists, summaries, etc.
  • Use your content to improve the AI models and the Service (only in anonymized, aggregated form that cannot identify you)
When you generate new content using our AI features (summaries, rewritten articles, cleaned transcripts), you own that new output, but you acknowledge that it was created with the help of our Use AI built in feature.

8. Paid Subscriptions and Payments

Some features are only available if you pay for a subscription or make in-app purchases. Prices are shown in the app or on our website before you buy. You agree to pay all fees and taxes that apply to your purchases. All payments are final and non-refundable except where required by law.

We can change prices at any time. If we increase prices, we will tell you in advance and the new price will only apply to your next renewal. If you do not want to pay the new price, you can cancel your subscription before the renewal date.

9. Termination

You can stop using the Service at any time and delete your account.
We can stop providing the Service, suspend your account, or delete your data at any time if:
  • You break these Terms
  • You do not pay for a paid plan
  • We are required to do so by law
  • We decide to shut down the Service (we will try to give reasonable notice)
If your account is deleted, all your uploaded files, transcripts, playlists, and generated content may be permanently removed. We are not required to keep backups for you.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data. However, no system is 100% secure. You use the Service at your own risk.

10. Disclaimers

We provide the Service “as is” and “as available”. We do not promise that:
  • The Service will be uninterrupted or error-free
  • Transcription will be 100% accurate
  • AI outputs will be correct, safe, or suitable for your purpose
  • The Service will meet your specific needs
  • Any results will be useful, profitable, or reliable
We are not responsible for any loss of data, lost profits, business interruption, or any other damages that happen because you used (or could not use) the Service.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, we are not responsible for any indirect, special, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages even if we were told that such damage could happen.

Some countries do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitations of liability. If you live in such a country, only those parts of this section that are not allowed by law will not apply to you.
